"How do we create a safe environment where all can freely seek, and worship without worry or distraction?"

This was the question of a local pastor who realized the importance of having as he said,  "the safest, most welcoming environment possible - because every person deserves to seek Jesus without worry, distraction, or fear... so that they could relax in worship, encounter God and connect authentically with others".  This was beyond his ability to do by himself and understood the need of a team to help carry out this vision. 

   Safety is foundational, people can't move toward love, belonging, forgiveness or spiritual growth if they are worried about their physical wellbeing or the safety of their family.

   Out of this vision, a Safety Team was created.  Not just "security" personnel,  but ministers of safety, ambassadors of peace and living reminders that the church  is a community where people are seen, valued and protected.  

    Whether it be medical emergencies, health needs, or physical assistance,  even being prepared to act effectively in the event of an active threat..

   The next decision was a more difficult one.  Should members of this team be prepared to be able to respond to an active threat (which means being armed), or ignore this aspect of firearms in church?  Realizing firearms were going to be there regardless, (as congregants have concealed carry licenses), it was important to know if those already within the team, with a "license to carry" were safe, proficient and most importantly getting out to practice/train regularly.  What if they were untrained and unknowingly more of a danger to themselves or other congregants?  What they discovered was that most of those that had a license to carry didn't practice regularly, if at all, and that the majority had never received any kind of formal hands on training.

    What most of the public doesn't realize is that a license to carry is not an indication of any kind of proficiency, and most governing authorities don't require proficiency when they issue a carry license.  With this in mind, and the commitment to the support and training of their Safety Team in all areas, they would also pursue professional help/training for their team members that are licensed to carry a firearm.

    So, this local pastor and his safety team director, knowing my history of church ministry service abroad and within the local church and our company's established reputation of safe and comprehensive firearms training approached us, at Quantum Defense. They asked us to facilitate the assessment and training of the individuals that wanted to carry as part on their Safety Team. 

    Not just settling with encouraging them to attend training with us, but they chose to also help subsidize this training for their team members, training that is critical for anyone who chooses to carry. They also understood that a few private lessons would not be adequate. To instill the safety, mindset and critical skills necessary to respond to an active threat, correct repetition over multiple days is necessary to develop and retain what they learned, leading them to Quantum's 3 Day Defensive Pistol Course. 

    We were so impressed and moved by the support and commitment of this local Pastor to their Safety Team that we came back to them to offer training that equally showed our support and commitment to them, and any other non-profit or Church Safety Team as well...  

We have extended to any Church Safety Team or non-profit and their official members that are "licensed to carry" the opportunity to come and train with Quantum Defense for 50% off the normal course fee.  This extended price being $495 for our 3 Day Defensive Pistol Course.  (reg. $990)

    Understanding the critical need for the individuals on their Safety Team to continue ongoing personal practice, to maintain and to continue growing those skills they learned in the course.  They began looking for a local range (here in Central Oregon) to explore range membership access.   We, at Quantum Defense, were able to communicate this vision, and have worked with a large local firearms range.  This range has eagerly joined in this vision of properly trained individuals and has generously opened their range to any non-profit or Church Safety Team members formally training with Quantum Defense, to do so at half the normal range fee cost, with the additional benefit of not requiring the yearly membership fee.
